Set sail with these working model ship kits, built and designed by carpenter and cabinet-maker Frank Thornhill of Grand Bank, Newfoundland. These kits come with everything you'll need to build your very own working sailboat ready to set sail in your bathtub, a pond, or the high seas. Each kit includes instructions and materials for 1 model ship and a display stand. *Please note these kits do not include paint - decorate your ship however you like!*

  •  Kit Includes: 1x each wooden hull, mast, cabin, and keel with weighted ballast; 2x wooden display stand panels; 1x wooden display stand dowel; 2x wooden beads (buoys); 1x each recycled plastic sail and rudder; cord for rigging; 2x Canadian flag prints; 1x Newfoundland flag print; wood glue; 3x sandpaper, assorted grits; 1x recycled plastic scraper; assorted recycled plastic and wooden sticks for clean up.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Frank Thornhill is a Grand Bank native who has been building model ships and dories for decades. With a lifetime of experience as a carpenter and cabinet-maker, Frank has turned his passion for quality construction into a sharable product, allowing everyone to have a chance to explore the wide and wonderful world of model ship building.
