100% recycled fibres.
Using 70% recycled wool and 30% recycled manmade fibres, like old water bottles or polyester shirts that would otherwise end up in a landfill, our manufacturing partner starts production by sorting recycled fibres by colour and stripping them down to bare fibres. These are then mixed with recycled wool fibres and spun into the new repurposed yarn use to form our beautiful blankets.
While most wool shrinks or pills in the wash, the combination of synthetic fibres allows the twill weave to be dense enough for machine washing without it affecting shape or softness.
These blankets are smooth and durable.
Warm, hypoallergenic, breathable and sustainable.
Wool is sourced and woven in India (which is a country with a MASSIVE recycled textile industry) and our partners also employ a large, primarily female workforce to hand finish the fringing on our blankets. Not because it’s faster or better, but because it supports a community in need of work.
